Gareth Flower to lead Melett’s marketing team

As the leading supplier of precision-engineered turbochargers and parts, we’re pleased to announce the appointment of Gareth Flower as marketing manager.

Flower, who joined us in 2020 as interim channel marketing manager, will bring close to 30 years’ industry experience to the role. Prior to joining Melett, Flower held senior marketing roles at Hofmann and MAM Software.

Flower will head up the marketing team, focusing on delivering the company’s multi-channel marketing and PR strategies. Working alongside global sales teams, he will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing activity that drives sales through its network of repair partners.

 

Commenting on the role, Flower said: “I am delighted to be starting my new role at Melett at this exciting time. Thanks to the recent growth of small-capacity turbocharged engines, the repair market remains buoyant, and I’m looking forward to working with our customers to capitalise on the opportunities available.”

Melett North America will bring the latest turbocharger innovations and technical expertise to Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) ’23, held between 16 – 19 January 2023 at Grapevine TX.

 

On display will be some of our most popular CHRA’s (core assemblies) and complete turbochargers, including new references for the EcoBoost Ford F150 2.7L and 3.5L trucks. Melett North America has introduced the additions to meet ongoing demand for these particularly popular reference numbers.

 

With high quality components engineered in the UK and designed to match the OEM specification, we continue to highlight the opportunities of turbocharger repair, a route often more cost effective than replacement, and one that promotes environmentally friendly remanufacturing.

Furthermore, thanks to our in-house product development programme, we have been able to increase our range and availability of products to ensure customers have access to stock in the quickest time possible.

 

In 2022, our North American turbocharger specialists celebrated their ten-year milestone. Melett continues to charge forward as it celebrates 10-year anniversary

Melett North America Inc. is celebrating a key milestone, marking its 10-year anniversary by reflecting on the success of the last decade.

The business has experienced significant growth since it was first established in Memphis, Tennessee in 2012, with double-digit sales growth on a yearly basis.

Initially beginning its venture from a 7500 sq ft building, the team has since doubled its capacity in both the number of employees and the size of its facility, moving to a significantly larger premises in 2018 – as a direct result of year-on-year progression and the need to meet ongoing demand.

Our in-house product development programme has enabled the company to continually increase its range and availability of products to ensure customers have access to stock in the quickest time possible.

Entering the market with 1,800 parts numbers, we now have a product portfolio of more than 6,000 parts, available for next day delivery to our growing customer base of aftermarket specialists throughout North America and Canada.

Melett’s “Inside tag” highlights network strength at Motortec Madrid 2022

We enjoyed a successful Motortec Madrid 2022, bringing together our Spanish Authorised Service Centre (ASC) network and showcasing the new Melett Inside quality tag concept.

With more than 60,000 visitors in attendance, the crucial part that our ASCs plays in creating a quality turbocharger repair and communicating and engaging with independent garage customers was showcased at the event.

Support from our ASC network – a team of trusted experts who firmly believe in providing the highest quality products, technical support and customer service – was available on the Melett stand and included Turbo Premium, TurboParts, Turbos Y Equipos Diesel, Turbotècnic Automoció, Casty-Romer, Turbo ALCALÁ, TurboGas 2, Turbos PCK and Turbos ITR Zaragoza.

The event was also attended by two other members of the ASC network with their own stands: Turbos Córdoba S.L, at stand 3B23 and Manuel Gambín S.L., at stand 7A19.

A key highlight and talking point was the unveiling of our new “Melett Inside” quality tag concept, which is available exclusively through the ASC network.

The scheme has been designed to help workshops easily identify high-quality turbocharger repairs carried out by the ASCs, using genuine Melett spare parts.
